Plus there are lists of Slide players from all genres of music, lists of slide guitar related sites, makers of various slide instruments...and so on! Along with Brad's Page of Steel, this is pretty well the definitive website on the subject.

"fROOTS magazine" One of the World's leading roots music magazines. Excellent website for information & reviews. Edited by Ian Anderson - it started life as Southern Rag, then it became Folk Roots and finally  its current incarnation as fROOTS.

"Acoustic" The UK's first magazine dedicated solely to acoustic guitars and associated stringed & fretted instruments. Excellent magazine .....Highly recommended!

"Fizgig" This is a really great guide to what's happening in the blues scene in Britain. Check out their lists of gigs and festivals. If you are a band then email your tour dates to fizgigmusic@tinyonline.co.uk . Also check out their lists of blues clubs and radio shows. Very informative website.

"Maverick"Maverick is breaking the mould of how country music is perceived in the UK. The emphasis is firmly on music - no line-dancing, glitter and other clutter that gets in the way of the music.

"Slim's Blues" Slim's Blues is the creation of Gordon Wride to bring the best of the British and overseas blues scene into Wales and the UK. Slim's Blues is working together with bands to become a major player in the blues world.  Gordon also guest presents the BBC Radio Wales show 'True Blues'

"Acoustic Guitar Workshop" Run by Steve Elliot & Rick Payne - this is an enormous and fascinating place for acoustic guitarists and acoustic guitar fans.

"Guitar site.com" This is an amazing site with an enormous database of guitar related stuff. Definitely one to bookmark. Your guide to over a thousand guitar recourses and music sites!

"Weenie Campbell" This is a great website & forum dedicated totally to the subject of country blues. Weenie Campbell is proud to be able to boast that it now has a 24/7 radio station playing wall to wall country blues. So....if you are into pre-war country blues and spend many late nights on the Internet....this one is for you.

"Tumi"  These are the best Panama hats around. Each hat is woven by hand in Ecuador and each comes with its own balsa wood box. Tumi also sell great shirts and happen to be the leading stockists of Latin American music in the UK. They have a separate website www.tumimusic.com that is well worth a visit.

"Island Shirts" Hand made Hawaiian shirts. Made to measure. These are the best.

 "Storm Productions" Storm Productions have worked with many artists, writers and performers to create books, magazine articles and mount productions of stage and radio plays, theatre based musicals as well as live stage music concerts.

"No Machine Studios" a fully equipped professional recording and rehearsal facility situated on the outskirts of Wokingham, Berkshire. I have not recorded there, but I rehearse with my band in their rehearsal facility on a regular basis. "Mark Knopfler - MK News"   MK News is the official Mark Knopfler fan web site. It is compiled & run by Terry Kilburn with the assistance of Paul Crockford Management and Mercury International. Contains Mark Knopfler publicity & schedule, but also is full of information about musicians he has worked with, National guitars, Pensa guitars, Soldano amplifiers. The site also has a very comprehensive linkspage to numerous guitar manufacturers, musicians and Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler websites around the world. MK News also hosts an excellent chat forum.

"Pepa Records" This record company  is the home of our very own 'Blues Scratchman' Louie Genis. Emcee, lyricist, rapper, producer, DJ for over ten years, Louie has worked with Cup of Tea Records, Static Sound System, Michael Messer, Funk Assembly, Shush Black Theatre, All Change Community Projects, the TALIC CD and record label Streetbeats, amongst others. If you're into this kind of music there are some great records being made by Pepa.

"Carl Weingarten" Carl is the editor of Planet Dobro and excellent slide guitarist. He has recorded many solo albums and film/TV soundtracks. His playing has been compared to Robert Fripp. Visit Carl's site and check out a great catalogue of music.

"Pascal Mesnier" Pascal Mesnier is one of the finest resophonic guitarists in France. Anyone interested in acoustic blues, calypso and Hawaiian guitar styles should check out Pascal's music.

"BJ Cole" BJ Cole is one of the world's leading pedal steel guitarists. He has recorded hundreds of sessions; including -  Elton John, Marc Bolan, Scott Walker, Beck, Bjork, Sting & REM. Check out his excellent website. BJ has a great collection of pedal & lap steel guitars which are proudly displayed on his site.

"Michael Roach" Michael Roach is a gifted blues & soul singer & an excellent acoustic guitar picker. We are very lucky to have Michael living here in the UK and doing so much great work to spread the word and the music of the blues. Michael is the main man at the European Blues Association which is best known for its Blues Week events at Northampton & Exeter Universities. Check out Michael's music at Stella Records website.

"Hal" Hal is an incredible guitarist/songwriter/arranger based in Croatia. His latest album, Trilogy, is released on Dancing Bear Warner Bros, and is well worth checking out. If there is any justice in the world, Hal’s music will reach out from Croatia and touch people in every continent.

"Roy Book Binder"Roy Book Binder is THE Travelin' man! One of the greatest exponents of 1920's fingerstyle guitar, a recording artist, storyteller, writer, performer and guitar collector. Also well worth checking out, especially for guitar players are Roy's teaching videos..."Blues by the Book" series.

 -  Ian Briggs tours with his band the Supervampers, as well as playing duos with Michael Roach and Maurice Dickson. Harmonica fans should definitely check out Ian's site. 

"Bob Long"  Bob is a blues singer, guitarist and harmonica player specialising in "the old stuff". Most of what he plays is his interpretations of pre-world war II blues, jug band and ragtime material, particularly music from the Mississippi Delta. Bob runs a jam session in the south of England, knows everyone in Clarksdale, and his new website is developing into an excellent resource centre for blues fans.

"Chuck Berry" This is the official website of one of the greatest entertainers, performers and songwriters of our time. Excellent website with tour dates, song lyrics, Berry covers, .....etc.

"John Crampton" John Crampton plays heavy blues on a National guitar in a kind of Tom Waits/John Hammond vibe.....a wonderful singer & guitarist...really cookin' ....

"Status Clone" The essence of Status Quo played by one of the best tribute bands in the country. "Status Clone are quite simply first class in every department. This tribute to Rossi, Parfitt and co is played completely live and their fast moving and well rehearsed set is as good as it gets. Next time they're playing near you.......you gotta go!

"Sam Payne" Sam is one of the UK's finest blues artists. She has released excellent albums, both solo and with her band. Sam has also released an album with Skip McDonald AKA 'Little Axe', which if like me you are into progressive and hip blues, is well worth hearing. "Gerry Cooper" Based in Yorkshire, Gerry is dedicated to keeping old country blues, folk music, good songwriting and great guitar picking alive.
