Michael Messer Resonator Guitars ®

"Michael Messer making 1930s style available to all"

"Not many guitarists would be brave enough to step into guitar design on their own, but that's exactly what British slide expert Michael Messer has done with the launch of these new resonator models".
Dave Burrluck - Guitarist Magazine UK

"With over thirty years experience of playing, collecting & reviewing resonator guitars, I have been working with a small guitar workshop to create what I believe are the most authentic & playable 1930s style resonator guitars at an affordable and realistic price. The body dimensions, neck profile, headstock, spun aluminium cone and set-up will give the player the classic tone, volume & feel of a 1930s resonator guitar. I believe these are the only budget-priced resonator guitars available that can boast these features". Michael Messer

Michael Messer Resonator Guitars are setup in the UK at Dave King Acoustics. Every guitar is individually hand-numbered and comes with a signed and numbered owner's manual.

MM Guitars are only available direct from this website and in North America from the Twelfth Fret in Toronto

The guitars

To see each MM model, use the drop-down menu in MM GUITARS

All MM Guitars are compliant with CITES laws regarding the use of sustainable woods. We no longer use any rosewood or endangered species of woods on any MM Guitars. Fretboards are 'Blackwood', this is a brand name for engineered rosewood and ebony and it is a fantastic product. Bridge saddles are English box wood and biscuits are maple, this is the same as original 1920s & 30s resonator guitars.
